Things are just not that simple.
Having an evening full of people with great clothes and no skills is still just a costume show.
A game of dress-up.
Cosplay.
Mind you, there is nothing wrong with cosplay. It is a hobby enjoyed by many. A well-developed and complex movement, from which we can learn a lot. But it is not living history.
