Preservation event featuring Anniversary programs at the American Battlefield Trust’s Slaughter Pen Farm site in Fredericksburg. Living history, battle recreation and Sunday Battle walks with Fredericksburg historians. A great way to help preserve the ground and educate people about the struggles that took place on the actual ground we will be marching and camping upon.
Portrayals will include the 16th Maine Infantry and the 28th North Carolina Infantry, which met on Dec. 13, 1862 during the Battle of Fredericksburg. All proceeds from the event will be donated to help pay off the mortgage on the land we will be using.
