Brotherhood of Warriors “Kruki” (eng. „Ravens”), or simply Kruki or BWK, is an early-medieval reenactment organisation reconstructing the life and past-times of the peoples who lived in and around the Scandinavian and Slavic lands- from the time of the Lindisfarne raid to the battle of Hastings. Its membersportray vikings, normans, ruthenians, slavs and more, focusing predominantly on historical European martial arts and full-contact sword-fighting. The socjety has gained in popularity as a result of being able to field large groups of battle-ready fighters, focusing on effectiveness in battles using proper fightingtechnique and relying on teamwork.
It was founded in 2000 in Inowrocław and is considered one of the largest Early Middle Ages re-enactment societies in Poland. The organisation comprises a number of local groups, from various cities like Warsaw, Poznan, Bydgoszcz, and also boasts some presence in the UK as well.
